- Joe was putting up streamers in the Charlestown butcher shop when he had a fall from the ladder. He was taken to Newcastle Hospital where he died. His death was a shock as he led a very active lifestyle. Milton needed to take cheques for suppliers to the butchers shop into the the hospital to be signed by Joe.
